Volunteers at the Art Fair and at the Townie Street Party are essential to making these events happen. Volunteering is a fun way to see the Art Fair from a different perspective, meet new people and promote art in the community.
Orientation sessions for 2018 Volunteers will be offered the week of July 9 (you will be asked to register for one evening session). Volunteers receive an automatic link to the orientation registration site after registering for a shift.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works all year long to put on this event. From time to time we can use a bit of help around the office, especially in the 1-2 months prior to Art Fair week. If you are interested in volunteering with us during the year, please send us an e-mail at: email@example.com.
Below is a list of 2018 volunteer assignments. Please take a moment to look through them. When registering, you will sign up for the position and time slot you desire. When a shift has been filled, it will no longer appear on the sign-up form. The earlier you register, the more choices you have! You are welcome to sign-up for multiple shifts. We ask that you remain flexible, as it is sometimes necessary to make adjustments on-site.
Volunteer Central (age 17+)
Volunteers assist staff in organizing Volunteer Central: check-in procedures, Volunteer Prize Drawing, replenish snacks, etc.
We know most volunteers are here because they enjoy the Art Fair and they want to give back to the community. That doesn’t mean we can’t show our appreciation for all your time and energy!
Through the generosity of many local businesses, we are able to thank you for your service through the annual Volunteer Appreciation Drawing. Every time you sign in for a shift, you can enter your name to win a gift. Names are drawn and winners posted each shift. Be sure to look for winner names when you check-out at Volunteer Central.

Please support the businesses that support the Art Fair!
Be Informed. Look through our web site before you arrive for your shift, visit pages like our Mission and History and Maps/Travel. Learn as much as you can about the Art Fair. Once you put on that volunteer shirt, people will come to YOU for information!
Wear Comfortable Walking Shoes. Volunteers ferquently are on their feet during the Art Fair -- no one likes blisters!
Dress for the Weather. Wear sunscreen and bring sunglasses as needed. Weather appropriate clothing helps you enjoy your time at the Art Fair!
Drink Plenty of Water. If it’s Art Fair, it's HOT! Dehydration can be dangerous. You're encouraged to bring your own reusable water bottle to fill at the hydrant water fountain.
Be Flexible. The Art Fair is an exciting, fast-paced environment where things can change on a dime. It’s a huge help when volunteers are patient and understand they may be needed to do a different task than originally assigned. That being said, we’ll do our best to keep you happy and busy!
Have Fun! You’re helping art thrive in our community - what could be better than that?!
Thank you! The Art Fair wouldn’t be the same without you!
